Introduction to Taiwan Moss
Taxiphyllum alternans, widely celebrated as Taiwan Moss, is a beautiful and versatile aquatic moss. It is characterized by its distinctive triangular fronds that tend to grow outwards and downwards, creating a lush, weeping appearance that is highly sought after in aquascaping.

Cultivation and Care
Taiwan Moss is incredibly forgiving and thrives in a wide range of aquarium conditions. It does not require high light or supplemental CO2, although providing these will encourage denser and faster growth. It is best utilized by tying or gluing it to driftwood or rocks, where it will quickly anchor and spread.
Aquascaping Applications
Due to its cascading growth habit, it is perfect for creating 'moss trees' or softening the harsh edges of hardscape materials. It also provides excellent hiding spots for shrimp and small fry, making it a functional and aesthetic addition to any planted tank.
