Introduction
Sagittaria subulata "Needle Leaf" is a beautiful, grass-like aquatic plant that originates from South America. It is an excellent choice for creating a lush, green carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. This particular variant is prized for its exceptionally narrow, needle-like leaves that add fine texture to aquascapes.

Care and Maintenance
This plant is highly adaptable and falls into the easy category, making it ideal for beginners. It does not require intense lighting or supplemental CO2, although providing these will significantly boost its growth rate and compactness. It propagates rapidly by sending out runners (stolons) through the substrate.
Aquascaping Application
Best utilized in the foreground, Sagittaria subulata "Needle Leaf" can be planted in small clusters. Over time, it will spread to form a dense, continuous lawn. In setups with lower light or dense crowding, it may grow taller, occasionally reaching the surface, making it suitable as a transitional plant towards the middleground.
