Anubias barteri var. barteri (Broadleaf Anubias)

Description

Anubias barteri var. barteri is an undemanding plant from West Africa. It is slightly larger than Anubias barteri var. nana but is grown in the exact same conditions. It grows slowly, and the leaves survive for several years, giving slow-growing algae the chance to establish themselves. The best result is achieved by planting on a stone or tree root.

Planting and Care

When planting in the substrate, the rhizome must not be covered because it tends to rot. Herbivorous fish do not eat the very tough and robust leaves. It is highly adaptable to various water parameters and lighting conditions, making it an excellent choice for beginners.
