Planted aquarium has become more and more popular these days, and along with the significant increase of the planted aquarium hobbyists, the numbers of both participating countries and participants of the contest have reached the greatest in the history. The IAPLC has grown to be one of the biggest events ever in the field of aquarium.

IAPLC steering committee is currently preparing for the evaluation of the entry works by international juries. Please look forward to the online announcement of the result in the end of July.

  • AGA 2016 World Ranking Announcement

    The Aquatic Gardeners Association is pleased to announce the results for the 2016 International Aquascaping Contest. We had another outstanding year and came close to achieving another record for entries, with more than 500 aquascapes submitted to this year’s contest. Nearly all of the categories in this year’s contest had record participation and some outstanding biotopes, paludariums, and Dutch aquascapes were also submitted.
  • AGA 2017 World Ranking Announcement

    The Aquatic Gardeners Association is pleased to announce the results for the 2017 International Aquascaping Contest. The contest had a record breaking number of entries this year with over 600 aquascapes submitted to the various categories, making the work of the judges very difficult. And like last year, nearly all of the categories in this year’s contest had record participation, in particular the 120L-200L category that had a nice jump in numbers.

    The Aquatic Gardeners Association is excited to announce the results for the 2018 AGA International Aquascaping Contest. The contest again had an outstanding 589 entries submitted to the various categories, with some stunning aquascapes making the judging very difficult.
  • AGA 2019 World Ranking Announcement

    The Aquatic Gardeners Association is pleased to announce the results for the 2019 International Aquascaping Contest. We had another outstanding year with almost 600 different aquascapes entered in the various categories, including our newest Wabi-Kusa category. We had outstanding showings in the 60L-120L and the 120L-200L category, from where our Best of Show and Larry Lampert Most Innovative awards were chosen, but all the other categories were also well represented!

Our contest started in 2000 as the first aquascaping contest of its kind with a mere 70 entries and has grown today to over 700 aquascapes entered in 11 different categories. The AGA is incredibly proud of what we have accomplished throughout the years and is ready to continue to represent the best aquascapers in future contests.
