Identification
This plant forms a compact clump of petiolate leaves. The leaves are green, relatively thick, and commonly have visibly undulating margins. Identification is kept conservative because cultivated Schismatoglottis plants may show overlapping features, and the available material does not establish a more specific trade form or cultivar.

Planting
Remove tissue-culture gel thoroughly before planting. Place the roots in the substrate while keeping the crown, and any visible rhizome, above the substrate surface. Do not bury the central growth point. It can also be positioned beside hardscape if the roots are held securely and remain in contact with the substrate or another suitable growing surface.

Water and light
Use stable aquarium conditions with clean, moving water and low to moderate illumination. Higher light can support denser growth, but it also increases the need for consistent nutrients and carbon availability. A complete, moderate fertilisation routine is generally sufficient; watch new growth for signs of nutrient limitation.

Growth and maintenance
Growth is typically slow to moderate, so regular trimming is limited. Remove damaged or ageing leaves close to the base with clean scissors. Allow space around the clump for new leaves and water circulation. Avoid repeatedly disturbing the roots, since established plants generally respond better to stable placement.

Propagation
Propagation is normally by separating established side shoots or dividing a sufficiently large clump. Each division should retain roots and an active growing point. Replant divisions carefully and give them stable conditions while they establish.
