Introduction
Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' is a stunning epiphytic aquatic plant hailing from the island of Borneo in Asia. Known for its extremely narrow, elongated leaves and subtle reddish stems, it offers a unique texture compared to other broader-leafed Bucephalandra varieties. Its slow growth and compact nature make it highly desirable for detailed aquascaping work.

Care and Maintenance
Like most Bucephalandra species, 'Needle Leaf' is highly adaptable and undemanding. It is an epiphyte, meaning it prefers to be attached to hardscape materials such as rocks or driftwood. Burying its rhizome in the substrate can lead to rot and should be avoided. It thrives in low to medium light and does not strictly require CO2 injection, though supplementation will promote faster, more robust growth and better coloration.
Aquascaping Application
This plant is ideal for the foreground or midground when attached to hardscape. Its creeping rhizome will gradually form dense clusters, providing a natural, aged look to the aquarium. The narrow leaves create excellent contrast when placed next to broader-leaved plants, ferns, or mosses, making it a perfect accent plant for nano tanks and large displays alike.
