[TheStoriesOfTop7] Leaping through time - Jheng Yu Lyu / Chinese Taipei - IAPLC 2020

This work is also well-executed using traditional creative elements of the contest. It is precisely made in every corner of the aquarium tank, and expresses the passage of time such that a tree falls down with hanging vines, and moss starts growing on the fallen tree. This type of layout tends to be too complicated if overdesign- ing. Consequently, many of those layouts are questionable in terms of maintenance and long-term management. However, these points are taken into consideration for this work. That is why this work is so likable. Even though evaluations for the contest highly depend on pictures, as long as they are planted aquarium, it is ideal that layouts can be maintained for a long term, and show- case changes of scenery instead of designing temporary. The reason this layout performed well at the top ranking while being a classic layout was because, in general, judges highly evaluated this work. 3 judges including Mr. Frantisek Kolin from Czech Republic especially gave high evaluations to this work

World Ranking 0006 Bronze Prize IAPLC 2020

This is the third year participating in the contest. I don't know how to describe this joy for receiving the 6th place in words. I would like to thank all the judges who evaluated my work. When I joined the Nature Aquarium Party 2 years ago, because I already knew my ranking beforehand, I only needed to stand up when my name was called. So I was able to handle it calmly. But this year, the Nature Aquarium Party was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the world ranking was announce via livestream. When I saw up to the 27th place and didn't hear my name, I got very nervous and worried that maybe I didn't win anything. When I found out that I won the Bronze Prize, I was not only relieved but was full of incredible feeling. I was so happy! I was able to complete this work because many of my friends supported me. I am very fortunate that I always have someone with me when following my dream.

Comment of Kris Weinhold

This is an incredible scene! The layers of the forest/jungle in the foreground are great but the detail work of the path and rocks in the background are just as good. Nice work!

Comment of Andre Longarco

Very nice work. Amazing perspective sense and great power of the first plane tree. I liked so much of the paths they aren't obvious quite the opposite they are very natural. I would just take out some unnecessary logs in the foreground and on the main branch of the big tree. In addition to being out of scale they pollute the beautiful work of details in the frontal plane.
But absolutely a great job. Congratulations!!!

Comment of Juan Puchades

This job is one of the jobs that has surprised me the most this year. The combination of a great visual impact along with great details in each region of the aquarium speaks of the great capacity of the artist. In my opinion an aquarium that deserves to be in the top 3 of its category.
