Leisurely - IIAC 2022 #6 He Yi / China

My work for this year, "Leisurely", creates rhythm and beauty in this space by simplifying the hardscape and are held on to express like you can feel the water flowing and the fishes swimming around. Although the choice and combination of the water plant is not variable, aits for accompanying each friend wings slender water plants stretching and swayingi ng the tank perfectly shows the flowing of the water and the vitality. Once again thanks for IAC accompanying each friend who is loving the aquascaping for many years.

Comments from Gary Wu

A fresh and comfort layout arrangement, easy to maintain, good try.

Comments from Stu Worrall

A really well-done panoramic scape with what looks like Hakkai Stone mixed in with the plants. A smaller fish in the shoal may have worked better for the size of the tank? I also think the Vivipara grass would have looked better grown up to the side glass so the white areas weren't as prominent.

Comments from Byrne Miao

This work only used the linear-shape water plant, it gives a very strong unity. It also brings a strong contrast with the stone flushing by the water. The overall impact is very strong and the scenario is also very nice. If the depth of the work can be improved, this scape will be perfect.

Comments from Grygoriy Polishchuk

Although the design had a minimal set of plant species and stones, it still inspired my imagination and gave me the sense of traveling through the history of iwagumi. It is quite easy for the viewer to feel Zen in such works.

Comments from Frederic Fuss

This layout is reminiscent of one of my all-time favorite Hakkai stone works by Master Takashi Amano.

I love your use of materials and admire your plant choices here. It is an almost flawless biotope-like design that fills the viewer's heart with peace and tranquility.

Unfortunately, I had to notice a big mistake that I couldn't overlook. The huge hairgrass on the back should have been pushed onto the side window and both sides. In my view, covering up the edges at the back would have been crucial to create the illusion of large, uninterrupted bushes.

Like this it looks like badly combed hair to me and distorts the otherwise perfect overall look. Nonetheless, one of my absolute favorites this year. I hope you can forgive my pedantry and accept my sincere appreciation and congratulations on your magnificent job. Well done!

Comments from Lin Ting Quan

Very natural, although it looks simple, it brings relaxation and joy to the viewers. The simple texture of the stone brings the trace of ages. The water plant in the front and middle is lack of maintenance, but the withered yellow accidently brings more natural atmosphere to this work. The fishes seem a bit too young, so the color is not fully shown, which is a bit pity.
