Thank you very much to everyone who supported and helped us, and to the judges who gave us the rankings .
Then, we will go through the making and commentary of this year at the same time! This will be evaluated in the article! I say something like that, but it's just my personal opinion.
I did an analysis first. Looking at the trends of the past 2.3 years,
・Large and impressive material
The works that make you feel are appreciated!
This is the latest trend in the aquatic plant layout world! IAPLC is the Paris Collection of the aquatic plant layout world! ! I want to walk that runway (TO P100) too! ! !
…yes. I've digressed, but after self-analysis like this, I'm going to set a goal and raise my motivation. And I think that trends will be important when the judges line up all the works and select the TOP100 .
The reason why recently there has been an increase in the use of large, impressive materials and easy-to-understand layouts is that large, impressive materials stand out, so they naturally catch the eye. In addition, large driftwood and stones are powerful enough to withstand harsh environments . Isn't this everyone's favorite food!
And although I said that the design is easy to understand, actually, the aquatic plant layout tends to be messy in terms of design because there are various kinds of textures even with just stones and aquatic plants . It is necessary to work to make the mess correct and beautiful. The shortcut is to create a layout with design thinking! becomes. With that alone, my work this year has a self-graded score of 40. I think that the people at the top and the creators of ADA are very good at that aspect .
“Huh? Then you can't win if you don't make trendy works! I think there are people who think that all the same works will be born ! Don't worry. I believe that attractive originality can be formed only by understanding trends and basic designs. When buying clothes, buy trendy clothes for the time being, and then wear particular items to express yourself. It's a feeling that goes on.
Draw a design. I was thinking of strong currents, changes in times and places, and dynamism as keywords for this project. I will draw a design based on that.
The above is the first drawing I made. In terms of flow, the drawing is impressive, but the line of sight is scattered and I don't feel the dynamism. If you try to create a dynamic expression, you will feel a sense of oppression. The design, especially the silhouette part, has been solidified, so I will actually assemble it.
Pumice stones are piled up to raise the soil and make the soil water permeable. This time, as usual, place the main piece of driftwood first without stacking stones first.
Finely adjust the angle of the driftwood, and once the angle is determined, stack stones to fix the driftwood. Because the balance of the layout picture is destroyed by the angle of one stone, I repeat the work of placing it and checking it from a distance.
There was a time when I stayed at school until late at night, working steadily and steadily.
A little technique. I usually make a layout with 2cm in front always open.
Doing so will make handling much easier. By managing the gap where the professional razor and sponge can be inserted, the transparency of the glass when shooting can be greatly enhanced.
I think that the possibility of long-term maintenance is also evaluated. Another trick is to create the large shadow part in front of the half of the tank.
If you don't leave a large space behind ,
it will be difficult to express the perspective and details of the background.
↓ Bad example (last year's work)
Once planted, the material cannot be moved.
・Is the front 2 cm open?
・Is most of the shadow assembled more than halfway forward?
・Is the material not moving?
・Is there any place where the soil might leak?
Let's check. Once the overall balance is decided, solidify the details and planting image .
Once the overall balance is decided, solidify the details and planting image . This time, in order to express the flow of the line of sight and the sense of perspective, the color of the background changes from red to yellow, and the aquatic plants with large leaves change to small leaves .
In addition, the foreground and middle ground mainly use shady aquatic plants, and the plants are planted so that they become brighter from the front to the back . It's easier to understand if you look at it in black and white.
This time is over.
Now is the time to plant. The soil uses both Amazonia 1 and Amazonia ver.2 . I have used various soils, but I prefer Amazonia because it is easy to grow aquatic plants.
Spread the new large pearl glass once until all the soil parts are gone .
Crowded! I grew it at home just for this occasion. As with any layout, it is important to reduce the risk of moss at the start-up by planting until the soil disappears, and to eliminate soil runoff by the roots of aquatic plants. Recently, the amount of aquatic plants on the market has increased, and it has become possible to get them at a low price . !
After this, it is managed with a mist method to spread roots for about a month .
After 1 month... I poured water . The aquatic plants to be used are also floating.
This time I didn't have much trouble with moss called moss. This is because, for a while after launching, I changed half the water more than twice a week .
Not only for aquatic plant tanks, but for all aquariums in general , by artificially removing ammonia and excess fertilizer immediately after startup, water quality is stabilized and moss is suppressed immediately after startup.
While constantly changing the water. Moss that can be easily removed is collected with Pro Brush Hard .
I personally think it's easier than using a toothbrush. The bristles are made of metal like a wire brush, so even stubborn moss can be removed at the same time. I love it. It's really recommended, so everyone should try it!
After about 2 months of adding water, the water will become stable, so fish will be added.
This time, I imagined a strong water flow , so I introduced a red line torpedo valve . These puppies are sensitive to changes in water quality, so we carefully adjust the water.
I can't swim together... A big miscalculation! ! The aquatic plants are growing nicely in each section.
This is the final adjustment.
Katsuki-sensei corrected it.
I would like you to point it out with an objective opinion that I do not notice. By receiving opinions from a third party's point of view, you can reconfirm whether there is an imbalance that you are not aware of
or whether your expression is conveyed .
Make a path to create a sense of perspective and gaps.
Since the slope is steep, make a path with cotton before pouring the cosmetic sand to prevent the sand from flowing.
Produce a sense of perspective by arranging paths and twigs.
By adjusting the trimming height, you can reduce the oppressiveness of the aquatic plants and increase the resolution.
Almost done .
That's all for next week.
When the aquatic plants grow..
Shooting!! We will set up with all the members. Every year, I want to complete it one week before the shoot, but it's quite difficult. (This year I had them shift by a week...)
