When i was doing tank for contest, I usually decide the concept and structure first, then look for the hardscape. But this time is opposite, I found this driftwood with perfect size that can fit into my tank, so I do it free-style this time. I used what i have on the woods and change the size,  create the hardscape and start setting. One thing I remember is, some plants are not growing as the speed that i want, so it took longer time to finish the tank. That's the downside of not preparing first.

I could be wrong but i felt I recognized the handwriting of a very lovely colleague here. The central design with the tangled roots is extremely creative and successful. The planting in general is nicely put together. Asplenium cf. normal has its great appearance here. In some areas such as the MMC in the foreground. I have the impression that they minimize the impact of this design rather than to support. Maybe an area with sand, pebbles and roots would have been more useful. Nevertheless a very beautiful work.
